This year Madison not only played the saxophone at the band competition, but she also performed a vocal solo. We sat through about a dozen performances waiting for her turn. If you listen to young girls sing, most of them sing in a falsetto voice. Not Madison…she sings in a rich natural voice that really has a nice sound to it. But given her heritage, I guess singing is in her genes.

She took first place with the performance and now she’s headed on to the state competition in May! Way to go Madison!
