Fiddler’s Convention – Fall 2011

It’s time for that twice annual post. It’s the one where I’ve just returned from Branson, MO and the Ozark Mountain Fiddler’s Assocation’s bi-annual Fiddler’s Convention. While I don’t play the fiddle or even attend the actual fiddle competition, I do play guitar and enjoy the old tyme and folk music played around the campground all weekend long. We take some of the music with us and enjoy playing in our own small group, but we also participate in round-the-clock jam sessions.

A friend of mine took this panoramic photo of the music circle just forming up late on Saturday night.
