2012 Fishing Trip

It’s that time of year.  That time each April when I meet up with my brother and my father to do some spring fishing on Kentucky Lake.  As is the norm we were too late for the Crappie spawn, so we turned to fishing for Bluegill and Red Ear.  And as is usually the case, we were not disappointed.  Although, we did have to work a little harder to find the fish this year.  But find the fish we did.  Over the course of 3 full days of fishing (they fished a couple of hours before I arrived and a couple of hours after I left), we were able to clean nearly 200 fish.

We always enjoy the hospitality afforded us by Neil & Charlotte at Lakeview Marina Resort.  If you’re looking for a great spot to spend a few days fishing, I’d highly recommend these folks.  They’re just good people.

All in all, another successful trip.  And one that I look forward to all year long.  I just don’t get to spend enough time with these guys.

Here are a couple of photos and a link to a few more.

The view from our cabin

We had warm weather the first day

But it was cold the last day

And when it's cold, some people get sleepy
